| Application | Mainly used as medium-speed accelerator in NR and SR as active agent in thiazoles, antumn lamb, and the lodine acyl class promoter. Used in manufacturing tire, slab rubber, soles and industrial products, hard rubber and thick wall prodcuts. | ||||
| Properties | DPG can lead to a long scorch time and relatively slow vulcanization rate but can not be applied to light-colored products due to its ability of slight discoloration except for be a activator. Combination with antioxidants is necessary due to its poor thermo-oxidation ageing properities of vulcanizate when DOTG is used alone. DPG can effectively activate thiols accelerators but has no accelerating effect on vulcanization of IIR and EPDM. | ||||
